South Jersey Gas Solutions presented a huge check to the fourth and fifth grade Art enrichment students. Art teacher, Mrs. Staab, applied for The Energy for the Arts grant back in September and our competitive project was one of the chosen winners. The grant is going to be used for the projects and activities within the Philadelphia Zoo’s Albert M. Greenfield Unless Contest. We are very excited once again to be a part of the Unless contest. This year we are saving tigers by addressing concerns about palm oil farming. Palm oil is in high demand and animals are losing their habitats from unsustainable growing practices. The UNLESS contest goal is for students to create a positive and influential campaign to encourage one of these four companies – Kellogg’s, General Mills, Mars or the Body Shop – to ensure their palm oil is “deforestation free”.
The Running Club would like to thank everyone for a fabulous fall season!
See you in the spring!
